I'd like to kick off 2008 by thanking everyone who emailed me to tell me they'd enjoyed the recent crop of short stories. They mean a lot, those emails, so keep them coming!

As for what's coming up in 2008 ... you'll be able to read a new story called Girl in Pieces in Realms of Fantasy pretty soon. And just a reminder the the fantasy detective anthology The Dragon Done It, featuring my story Dead Wolf in a Hat, is due from Baen Books out in March.

'Never mind all that. When's the next novel coming out?' I hear you ask.

Well, I'm pleased to announce I've just finished the manuscript of a new book that's due for publication in the summer. And I'm hard at work on the sequel, which should follow in fairly short measure. The books are a bit of a departure for me - I can't say too much about them just yet, other than that they're fast-paced crime thrillers. More soon ...
