It's always nice to wake up to positive feedback. The latest bit of good news regarding my sequence of fantasy detective stories turned up on Douglas Cohen's Slushmaster site yesterday, namely that Still Point has received an Honourable Mention in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror 2008.

The anthology, edited by Ellen Datlow, Kelly Link and Gavin J. Grant, is a key industry barometer of everything good that's happening in the field, so I'm delighted to have my name squeezed in there along with all those other talented folk.

Still Point is the fourth of my stories about a dimension-hopping private investigator. In this one, my world-weary gumshoe finds himself trapped in an unsolvable labyrinth, playing Scheherazade to a gigantic behemoth. Find out more about the story by clicking here.
